Brian Huang, co-founder of Glider and veteran of Morgan Stanley, XTX, and Anchorage, argues that decentralized finance (DeFi) will eclipse traditional exchange-traded funds (ETFs) in the coming years. His platform, Glider, aims to democratize crypto trading after securing $4M in funding led by a16z CSX and winning the Start in Block competition at Paris Blockchain Week.

"Permissionless rails change everything," says Huang, referencing his 2015 involvement in the MIT Bitcoin Project. Glider''s upcoming launch seeks to bridge institutional-grade infrastructure with DeFi''s accessibility—a synthesis honed through Huang''s experiences across sell-side banking, high-frequency trading, and crypto custody.
